SHELBY COUNTY TENNESSEE PUTS THE LOCK DOWN ON TITLE LOCK!

In a move to help provide protection to the citizens of Shelby County, Tennessee, the Register of Deeds, Mrs. Shelandra Ford, has created a Property Fraud Alert Program. The program allows citizens to monitor their properties for Fraudulent Property Filings. Our local Register's Office already offers a level of transparency that goes well beyond that of some much larger cities and this new feature will allow our citizens even greater control over the safety of their property.
If you know anyone that owns property in Memphis, they should be signing up for this service, AND NEVER PAYING FOR A SERVICE LIKE TITLE LOCK.
FEDERAL JUDGE RULES EVICTIONS MAY MOVE FORWARD

On March 15th 2021, US District Court Judge, for the Western District of Tennessee, Mark Norris, ruled in favor of local landlords. The case was initiated on the premise that the CDC had overstepped its bounds in extending the moratorium on evictions especially when even Congress was no longer extending the original moratorium from the beginning of the pandemic.

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has again extended the protections to the citizens of the State of Tennessee in an effort to help keep businesses running, people working, and everyone safe.
